Pastor Jerry Grey

Senior Pastor

Jerry Grey was saved under the ministry of Dr. Lawrence Bradley and grew up at Curtis Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia.  Jerry was licensed to preach by Dr. John Bryan of Curtis Baptist Church and ordained at Center Hill Baptist Church in Loganville, Georgia.  Jerry is a graduate of Augusta University and has a BA in Sociology.  Jerry received his Master of Divinity from Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary in 1994 in Memphis, Tennessee. Jerry served as the Associate Pastor of Center Hill Baptist Church in Loganville, Georgia for eight years until he became the founding pastor of Woodlake Baptist Church in 2005.  Woodlake Baptist sits on 45 acres in Walnut Grove, Georgia. Brother Jerry has been in the Loganville community for 25 years since graduating seminary.  Jerry loves golf, gardening, writing, and preaching the Word of God.    

Brian Lancaster

Student & Family Pastor

Brian is the Student and Family Pastor at Woodlake Baptist Church. He is a founding member of Woodlake and served as the volunteer Children’s Director with his wife Jessi for 12 years. Brian answered the call to full-time Christian service, and soon after, became the full-time Student Pastor of Woodlake, in 2017. Brian was saved at 15 and has grown in Christ since that time. Brian is passionate about students and loves investing in the life of students; Brian knows the difference that God can make in one’s heart and wants to help others experience that. Brian attended Liberty University. Brian and Jessi have been married since 2000. They have a son, Maddox, and a daughter, Lydia Wren. They enjoy spending time together on their mini-farm with their dog Boomer, two cats, guinea pigs, and lots of chickens. Brian enjoys working in his shop, and he is always being Mr. “Fix-it” here at Woodlake. 

Jeremy Elrod

Music Pastor

Jeremy graduated from the Baptist College of Florida in 2008. He has served at several churches in Alabama before coming here to Woodlake Baptist Church. In addition to leading the church in music, he also has a passion for teaching youth. He has over 20 years of experience in the Gospel Ministry. He and his wife, Kandi, have been married for 23 years.  They have 2 children and 5 grandchildren. Jeremy decided to move back to GA so that he could take care of Dad. When he isn't at Woodlake you can find Jeremy driving his school bus for Walton County Public Schools.

JOANN DYER

OFFICE MANAGER | MINISTRIES ASSISTANT

JoAnn is the office manager at Woodlake Baptist Church and one of the founding members of Woodlake. JoAnn has worked in a church environment for 38 years. JoAnn was saved as a teenager and has happily served in church ministry since that time, either as a volunteer, or as a staff member. JoAnn has a degree from Liberty University in Religion and counseling. JoAnn has been married to her husband, Ronnie for 46 years. They have a dog named Crash, and a cat named Ozzie who share their home with them. JoAnn and Ronnie have two grown children, Jessi, and Mark. Jessi is married to Brian Lancaster and they have a son, Maddox, and a daughter, Lydia Wren. Mark is married to Kimberly Dyer and they have a son, Conor. JoAnn enjoys teaching ladies’ Bible studies and ministering to the women through Women’s Ministry. Her favorite hobbies are beach trips, spending time with grandbabies, crafting, playing golf, and studying God’s Word.

RENEE TYLER

MINISTRIES ASSISTANT | WEDNESDAY NIGHT MEAL COORDINATOR | SUNDAY SCHOOL DIRECTOR

Renee was born and raised in Douglasville, Georgia. She attended Paramedic school after High School, and then enlisted in the Navy. She later lived in Norfolk, Virginia and Eagle River, Alaska before moving back to Georgia and marrying her High School sweetheart, Mike Tyler.  Mike and Renee have been married for thirteen years and have two wonderful children, Jon, and Libby. They also have two dogs and three cats.  Renee grew up in a different denomination but came to know Christ after her children attended VBS at Woodlake Baptist Church.  Renee and Mike were both radically saved on July 11th, 2021 during a Sunday morning service.  Renee quickly found a place to serve in many areas of the church.  She soon displayed a great love for cooking and became the leader of Wednesday night suppers at Woodlake.  Renee soon became a part of the administrative staff and has added greatly to the staff as a ministry assistant.  Renee serves as the Sunday School Director and as a Women’s ministry team member.  Renee loves cooking, crafting, going on road trips, and cold weather.
